Melville (NY) Fire Department just received a brand new PL Custom medium duty ambulance. The ambulance is on a Freightliner chassis and has an extremely unique layout. The overall size of the vehicle being almost 28 feet long and the 17’ 10” body accommodates two cots end-to-end with attendant seating and capability of treating two critical patients at the same time or transporting up to a total of 4 patients lying supine.
